Kali Ma is known as the preserve of Earth, but due to her destructive powers she is also known as “Dark Mother”. The name Kali means She, who is Beyond Time. She is considered as a berserk form ofDurga/Parvati, who is consort of Lord Shiva. Kali Ma is simultaneously portrayed as the giver and destructor of life. However, in most of the interpretations she is portrayed as ferocious and evil. She is the mother of the world and the treasure-house of compassion. She is considered as the primordial mass from which all life arouse.

Here are some mantras to please Kali Ma



1. Bija Mantra:

This mantra will protect you from all the evil forces.

2. Simple form of Kali Mantra:

Om Krim Kali

Meaning: K stands for full knowledge,
R means she is auspicious,
I means she bestows booms, and
M that she gives freedom

3.Kali Mantra:

Om Kring Kalikaye Namah

This mantra is simple and transforms the devotee to pure consciousness.

Who can comprehend the Divine paradox of Mother Kali? Fierce, black in color, large, shimmering eyes, destructive, triumphantly smiling amidst the slaughter of billions of demons, wearing a necklace of skulls and a skirt of severed arms, glowing effulgently like the full moon in the night sky, holding the head of a demon, a Trident that flashes like lightning and a knife etched with sacred mantras and infused with Divine Shakti, Kali stands peaceful and content, suffused with the fragrances of jasmine, rose and sandlewood!

Kali is the Guardian. The Protectress. The Mother. Kali is Dharma and Eternal Time. Kali shines with the brilliance of a Million Black Fires of Dissolution and Her body is bathed in vibuthi (sacred ash). Shiva is under Her Feet and the Great Devotee, Ramprasad, envisioned Kali as stepping upon a demon that was transformed, by Kali's touch, into Lord Shiva Himself!

காக்கும் காளி

கோபம் இருக்கும் இடத்தில் குணம் இருக்கும் என்பார்கள்.  குணம் என்றால் எப்பேர்ப்பட்ட குணம்.  அநீதி அக்கிரமம் இவைகளைக் கண்டால் சீறி எழும் குணம்.  இந்த அநீதி அக்கிரமங்களை அடக்க ஒரு ஆள் இருந்தால் தானே நியாயமும் சந்தோஷமும் நிலவ முடியும்.

அப்பேர்பட்ட சக்தியாக இருந்து நம்மைக் காப்பவளே காளி என்ற சக்தி.  இவளைப்பற்றி விவரிக்க வேண்டுமானால் இவள் என்ன ரூபமானவள் எப்படிப்பட்டவள் என்றெல்லாம் குறிப்பிடவேண்டும். எல்லாமாக வியாபித்து இருப்பவளுக்கு உருவம் ஏது?   நல்ல தேவ சக்திகள், தீய அசுர சக்திகள் இரண்டுக்கும் அவளே காரணம் என்றாலும், இந்த சக்திகளின் மோதல் நாடகம் கட்டுக்கடங்காமல் போய் இந்த நல்லவர்கள் அடியோடு நசித்து விட அவள் அனுமதிக்க மாட்டாள்.
